ICRIR Gifts and hospitality policy

ICRIR Handling a request

This policy sets out the form and manner of a request for an investigation under sections 9 and 10 of the Northern Ireland Troubles (Legacy and Reconciliation) Act 2023 (the Act) and reflects the requirements upon the Commissioner for Investigations under section 11 of the Act, including how the Commission meets the requirements of Section 11(2)(b) of the Act; namely the circumstances in which a request for an investigation may be changed (including by changing particular questions included in the request) or withdrawn. This policy was updated in November 2025.
