As part of establishing the Commission, we want everyone to have the opportunity to input on its design and on the content of its key policies. We consult publicly on many aspects of our work. Here is a list of our open consultations – take a look at our proposals and make sure your voice is heard.
Please submit your responses by email to ICRIR Engagement Team engagementteam@icrir.independent-inquiry.uk or by post to Freepost ICRIR.
Consulting on the Commission’s operational design
This consultation document explains the Commission’s proposed operating model and how investigations will be carried out. It sets out more information about how victims, families and survivors will be involved at key steps in the investigation. It is important to the Commission that people across Northern Ireland, Great Britain, and wider have the opportunity to provide input to the design of how the Commission works. It asks a series of questions about how you would want to see the Commission run. The consultation is open until 10 May.
About the end-to-end investigation journey
Consulting on the Commission’s equality scheme
Aligned with the Commission’s core values of integrity, impartiality, openness, accountability, and respect, it is paramount that we also cultivate an inclusive and diverse organisation that listens to and understands the people it serves. This draft Equality Scheme sets out the work that the Commission will take which puts these words into action. The consultation is open until 29 May.
Consulting on our disability action plan
Given the context of the Commission’s work, it is vital that we pay particular attention to not simply removing obstacles, but proactively ensuring that
people with disabilities feel confident that they can access the Commission’s services.
This draft plan sets out the steps the Commission will take to do this and seeks feedback. It is open until 17 May.
